I don’t think I have spoken enough on here about how much I love reusing content. I mentioned in my article of things I learned from Gary Vaynerchuk. I mentioned that he reuses content about 10 times. This is something every business needs to learn how to do right so that you can spend the least amount of money on creating as possible, by re-purposing content multiple times.
So how often can you repost on Instagram? I would say that you need to take three things into consideration.
First, is your profile page. If someone can swipe through and see the same post a bunch of times that isn’t great, so spacing a post more than 3 screens, which is about 50 posts is ideal.
Second, you need to think about your audience’s home page. If your audience can easily find the same post while scrolling down. I would assume if you’re posting 3 times a day this shouldn’t be a concern, but if your posting 25 then it will be, so spacing at least a week, optimally 2 between repeating a post is probably best.
Also, you need to take into consideration peoples’ memory. Is this specific post extra memorable? It probably isn’t, but if it is you may be better off not using it again for a long time, so that people will forget about it. So this can be anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 weeks, it all depends on how memorable the post is.
