The average Facebook Ads Campaign is for conversations, which makes sense. I want to sell my t-shirt, so I advertise on Facebook to sell them, and each sale is a conversion. But sometimes it is worth paying for an ad for a totally different reason.
We explained in the very first post that Facebook cares if your audience cares about your posts. So if Facebook notices that your audience likes your posts then it will show your future posts to you a greater portion of your audience.
For this reason every so often it’s worth investing money in a great piece of content just to get a lot of engagement. Find a really great piece of content that your audience will enjoy and pay some money to get a ton of engagement on that post. You should notice that over time as that post gets engagement (for very little $, otherwise something is wrong) your future posts should do better.
It may be worth running several small campaigns for engagement each for an article written for a very specific audience, then targeting that audience appropriately.
If this is done right it could increase your organic reach dramatically increase your organic reach.
Have you ever just tried advertising for the sake of engagement?
