Many people will tell you that running a like campaign is a total waste of money because everyone that will like your page will be totally useless to you. People claim that everyone they get is from a “like farm” in Africa (a place filled with computers and some people logging into fake accounts to like your page just to boost numbers.)
These people have it all wrong. It’s not that these people are a total waste for you, it’s that you are a total waste of their time.
What do I mean? What I’m saying is that people are willing to put the money in to get likes to the page, but they’re not willing to put time in to create good content for these people. So after successfully getting all of these great, highly interested likes to your page you’re content sends them running.
Next time you like a Facebook page notice what happens to your news feed. You’ll see that page’s posts coming up over and over again. Then, after a few days those pages will stop showing up. Why? Because Facebook is learning how much you actually like this page.
Just because you “like” it doesn’t mean you actually like it.
Facebook does this test for everyone, all the time. So after people had some time to like your page you need to impress them with great content or that like will be a total waste for them, and a total waste of your money.
Like campaigns are a great way to get highly interested people to like your page, but make sure there is something to enjoy about your page or all you’ll never see the fruits of that labor.
How successful have your Facebook like campaigns been? Have you also been told they are a waste of time?
