After you have set up your 500 ads you have to give Facebook enough time to start showing them to your audience. After Facebook has had enough time you need to go into the ad manager (this is the only time it is okay to use Ad Manager) and see how the ads are going.
Many people expect immediate results, but you need to give Facebook 36-48 hours to try out the ads, only then can you see what is working and what isn’t. So wait a little and then look how the ads are doing. After you let your ads run for this initial test you can turn off the ads that aren’t working.
How long should your ad campaigns run for?
Facebook has some interesting advice on this topic. They say that every two weeks or so you should stop your ad campaign and start a new one from scratch.
For some reason every time I have followed this advice it always fails on me. Whenever I make a campaign the first time is always the best time. Any edits or changes negatively effects my ads. But what is true is that eventually every person in your target audience will see your ad and then everyone will begin seeing it several times. At this point it is time to stop your ads and creating new and fresh ads.
Of course, the amount of time this takes differs based on audience size and daily spend, but after 3 months regardless of audience size it’s probably time to make me ads.
