Facebook groups are a very funny feature. Years ago Facebook turned off the ability to add all of your friends to pages at once. For a long time this was not turned off on groups, but while it was eventually turned off it is still possible to add someone to a group without their permission. This is different from a page where you can invite someone to like a page, but you can’t force them, with groups you can force someone to join and then they need to manually leave.
Facebook Groups are small groups of people who share similar interests. There are 3 types of groups:
1) Public (anyone can join)
2) Private (anyone can find it in search but needs to be approved to get in)
3) Closed (they can’t be found in search but if someone has an invite or direct link they can find it, but need access from someone already invited to get in. Even with a link they can’t see any posts without being accepted in.)
There are lots of great groups and many of them can be very helpful, where you can meet similar people, ask questions, talk about events, or anything. It all depends on what the topic is and how strict the administers are with following this rule.
But how can you use it for business?
