Why is website speed important?
The most important reason for anything on your website should always be the user. Is the user having the best experience that you can give them? If the answer is no then you need to ask yourself what the point of your site is. Do you think people coming to your site will keep coming back if things take forever to load, if links are broken, or if stuff just isn’t right? I hope you don’t, because if you aren’t worried about the user experience you should just close down your website now.
If you actually need more reasons than number 1 you need to rethink your online presence…
But, if you need another reason, many SEO authorities say that site speed is a factor in how high you rank on search result pages.

Having a graphic heavy theme can create a lot of issues with load time, and there is no need to reload all of the code every time you go to a new page. By adding a caching tool you will cut down load time dramatically.

After you have downloaded it and activated go into settings make sure that next to “Cache” Caching On is marked and click “Update Status.” Now the plugin will do most of the work. You site will automatically cache (in English: “save”) ready to be seen pages rather than complicated and slow to load pages. This way, when someone comes to that page the server already has the information ready and will show that information much faster.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Caching will slow down the time before you see your site update. That means that if you change the coding of a page then go look at it live on the site the page may not be up to date, since an older version was cached already. Don’t be afraid that things aren’t working as they should. Simply go into the settings up the plugin select “Delete Cache.” On the next page click “Delete Expired” and now go check to see if your site is showing up properly. If it isn’t then on that same page click “Delete Cache” at this point the site will update to the latest version and you shouldn’t have any problems.
To speed up your site even more install the plugin called “Use Google Libraries”. This plugin will first search to see if Google has a version cached of your page before going to your server’s cache, which can speed up loading time even more. Just note, that if you are the type of person who is constantly changing pages this may not be right for you, since Google may save an old version and it could take a few days before they re-cache that specific page, and your viewers will be seeing an older version of the page.
