Introduction to the User Side of Facebook
We have gone through all of the basic steps of the business side of running a Facebook page, but we think that it is way more important to understand the user side of Facebook better.
As we have said many times before, Facebook’s only desire is to show a user the best content for them, at the exact time they want to see it.
This means that the user could see one thing on desktop, a different thing on phone, and a different thing on tablet (if it means they will have a better experience).
This also means that links that don’t work in mobile will do worse on tablet and mobile phones (and Facebook will charge a business more to target people if the site isn’t mobile friendly).
An additional thing that Facebook does is give power to the user to hide, unfollow, report, or just tell Facebook to stop showing a person, business, or that type of post. (You can do this by clicking on the top right of any post (on desktop or mobile) and a dropdown will appear with several option.
The way the user experiences a media is probably the most important thing to understand about it (and it’s how we learned most of what I know, by seeing how other users used each feature).
