I want to add one more tip now that everyone has moved to the new updated CD. There are 2 new features I want to focus on, so that you can understand how to use them better.
The first is the updated profile page. You will notice on the top right (since CD reminds you every single time…) you can now dust, recommend, block, etc. a duster directly from their profile page.
Also, you can see a person’s previous public blasts from this page. IMPORTANT NOTE: if you are using blast lists and making the blasts public, even if that list only has 1 person on it everyone will now see that blast on your profile page.
This is a great way to see if a duster is active and if the content they are making is what you want to follow. This means people will be doing this to you as well, so make sure to blast good content so that people will want to follow you.
The good news is that there is a way to delete which public blasts appear on your profile, and that brings us to the next new feature.
The second new feature I want to discuss is the “My blasts section.” To get there go to your blasts page, on the top it says “MY BLASTS” click there and you will see the your last 10 public blasts. In here you will see the number of people that saw each blast. Seeing a blast means just seeing it on their blast list. So if a person scrolls through your blasts on the blast list, it is a view for all of them, if they click into one from you profile page, it’s a view, if they just scroll past your blasts it will count that oldest one as viewed.
From this screen on the top right you will see a delete button. If you click on this it will put a delete icon on each blast and allow you to delete the blast from the list. This will also delete it from your profile page, so if you don’t want people to see specific things from your profile you can delete it here. But, you will also lose the analytics from this blast.
If you click into a blast it will show the number of people that saw it, and the number of screenshots. If you click on the number of screenshots you can actually see who screenshot it.
Two things you should remember about the data. On Facebook it is normal to be seen by only 2% of you followers, on email 25% is great. So if you have a large following done expect the majority of people to see every blast.
Also, keep tabs of which pieces of content did the best so that you can create more content like that.
